Alana Marcoccia

Alana is an educator and multidisciplinary artist with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Studio from Western University.

She works in a variety of painting mediums – oils, acrylics, watercolours, and in 2019 introduced ceramics into her art forms. She is exploring the elements and principles of art and the relationship between the two- and three-dimensional forms.

Alana continues to develop her creative process by taking many workshops and in 2021 completed a mentorship where she explored ways to translate her abstract and representational painting style onto her ceramic pieces.

Her ceramic work includes functional and sculptural forms using techniques such as wheel-throwing, hand-building and most recently slip casting.
