Wayne is passionate about passing on his 60 years of experience as a sculptural stoneware artist. His goal is to help potters move from craftsmen to artists, uncovering their own personal styles.

This will be a free flowing workshop tailored to the participants. Bring your ideas, questions and requests. Each participant will focus on their own self-expression through throwing or hand building. To allow for individual preferences, bring your own clay of any kind/colour (CONE 6 ONLY).

From his wealth of knowledge, Wayne can offer:

    • Applying slip to enhance your piece
    • Experimenting with a variety of texturing and tools
    • Choosing styles/aspects that complement your work; the right handle, spout design, decorative element
    • Making a variety of well-fitting lids for teapots, casseroles, butter dishes
    • Enjoying the process and taking mistakes as learning opportunities.
    • and more
