Mona Patel Jackson is a Toronto-based ceramic artist and educator.
She received an MFA in Visual Arts with a Ceramics Major from Indiana University, USA, where she learned clay and glaze chemistry and other technical aspects along with creative ceramics techniques.
After graduation, she taught ceramics at studios in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ceramic work she makes is wheel thrown functional pieces that are then water etched to create a soft relief effect.
Currently, she works in the role of Studio Technician at the Mississauga Potters Guild and also teaches hand building and wheel throwing at MPG and the Gardiner Museum.
