Meet Guild Member - Jacquie Blondin

Jacquie's exploration of three-dimensional form began as she studied Art & Art History at McMaster University.  She has been practicing and teaching art for 30 years and intends to focus on ceramics full-time in the not-too-distant future.

She creates functional tableware and contemporary sculpture with aesthetic design at its core. Her functional ceramics is both wheel-thrown and hand-built, with a focus on embossed and carved designs and layered resist glazing techniques. Each object is made by hand with careful consideration to its visual and tactile appeal. Jacquie wants people to connect to the floral motifs and smoothness of surfaces as they use her tableware in their daily lives.
